In the recently announced special election to replace former State Representative John Temple, who resigned to serve as President of Lake-Sumter College, conservative businesswoman and lifelong Sumter County resident Samantha Scott announced a wave of endorsements across Florida.
With the primary election set for January 13 and the general election on March 24, Scott’s growing coalition underscores her strong momentum and broad support in the race for State Representative. Scott’s campaign has earned the backing of federal, state, and local leaders who recognize her record of service, faith, and commitment to Florida’s conservative values.
“I’m deeply humbled by the confidence so many trusted leaders and organizations have placed in our campaign,” said Scott. “Together, we’re building a movement rooted in faith, family, and freedom – focused on protecting our communities, strengthening our schools, and defending our way of life.”
Among those endorsing Samantha Scott are Congressman Daniel Webster, who said, “I am honored to endorse Samantha Scott as the next State Representative for District 52. Samantha is a proven conservative leader who will serve our families and communities with integrity.”
Scott has also earned support from Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia, State Representatives John Temple, JJ Grow, Yvette Benarroch, Jeff Holcomb, and Ryan Chamberlin, and former State Senator Carey Baker, all of whom praised her leadership, conservative values, and dedication to local families.
Representative Yvette Benarroch shared, “Thrilled to see my friend Samantha Scott announce her run for State Representative! She’s exactly the kind of leader we need — hardworking, committed to her community, and guided by strong conservative principles.”
Representative Jeff Holcomb added, “I am supporting Samantha Scott 100%! When you meet Samantha, you quickly realize her passion for people and her drive to make a difference. She’ll be a tremendous voice in Tallahassee.”
At the local level, Scott’s campaign has been endorsed by a slew of elected officials across the district. In Sumter County, Scott received the support of Sheriff Pat Breeden, Superintendent of Schools Logan Brown,
Tax Collector Randy Mask, Clerk of Court Erin Munz and County Commissioners Deb Butterfield, Jeff Bogue, Don Wiley, Todd Coon and Andy Bilardello.
Superintendent Logan Brown said, “I am proud to endorse Samantha Scott for State Representative, District 52. Her commitment to education and our community is unmatched.”
Commissioner Deb Butterfield added, “I am pleased to offer my full support to Samantha Scott for State Representative, District 52. She has the integrity, energy, and focus we need representing us in Tallahassee.”
Commissioner Jeff Bogue shared, “Fellow citizens, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing today to express my full endorsement of Samantha Scott for Florida House District 52. She is the type of dedicated, community-minded leader we can count on.”
In Hernando County, Scott received the endorsement of Tax Collector Amy Blackburn, Commissioner Brian Hawkins, School Board Chair Shannon Rodriguez and Vice Mayor of Brooksville Thomas Bronson.
Scott has also received the backing of major organizations, including the Associated Industries of Florida (AIF) and the Florida Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), both of which recognized her commitment to pro-business policies, public safety, and the hardworking families who make Florida strong.
These endorsements underscore the broad, unified support behind Samantha Scott’s campaign – from Bushnell to Tallahassee and everywhere in between – as she continues to build momentum toward victory in the January 13 primary and March 24 general election.
